pastor Angie Dornisch

Pastor Angie is a compassionate and charismatic leader with a servant’s heart for Jesus and helping others. She and her husband Russ moved to Billings from Denver after being appointed to Hope United Methodist in July of 2019.

Angie is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and received her Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary in 2016. Prior to pursuing her seminary degree, she attended the University of Northern Colorado in her hometown of Greeley, Colorado.

With a passion for creating and nurturing local church communities, Angie has over a decade of experience working in several churches and non-profits throughout Colorado. In addition to working with church communities, Angie has been fortunate enough to serve in over twenty-five mission trips worldwide, including the year-long World Race program in 2011. During her year on the World Race, she served in orphanages, built houses, and helped local congregations in countries like the Philippines, Guatemala, and Uganda. While attending Denver Seminary, Angie became the resident program director at a local non-profit, Streets Hope, which is a safe house for women coming out of sex trafficking.

When she isn’t working, Angie loves working out at Orange Theory, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Russ, and their two dogs - Brody and Cooper. She is passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers whenever she can. Angie is a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for four children in the foster care system in Yellowstone County and she leads a support group for women who’ve experienced infertility and/or pregnancy loss. One of Angie’s favorite things is getting to know people over a cup of coffee so let her know if you’d like to meet with her sometime!

Angie loves everything that Hope UMC provides to the community and is excited to see what God will do this coming year! She hopes that you will join her and the family of Hope United Methodist for worship on Sundays at 9:30 AM.
